Re: Land Brothers Of Monroe County, Tenn.

This photo of the Land brothers from Monroe County, Tennessee (previous post has service info) was accidentally deleted. The three brothers from Illinois in the smaller photo, could possibly be their cousins Seems to be a strong resemblance.



William Jackson Land served in the 26th Indiana Light Artillery, in Feb.1865 he went into the 144th Indiana Infantry
In the center is John Thomas Land Co.E 97th Illinois Infantry.
On the right is Milton Land. Confederate in the 2nd Arkansas Mounted Rifles. Story goes that for years after the war, John would have to separate William & Melton at family gatherings on the Fourth of July.
