I do have a copy of a dagherrotype my uncle has. We found it under my grandmother's bed after she died in a box full of other pics. He is in uniform and it was professionally colored so much so it almost lookslike a color photo. But as we know, glass pics of that era are just negatives and if reversed sometimes colors and all change. I am 99% sure it is of him. What is your email and I will send a copy to you.

Also, his company, Co. K, Palmetto SharpShooters was actually the "Spartan Rifles", most being from the Spartanburg area. Out of five brothers only one survived the war. So sad.
