This has been discussed before I am sure, but does anyone know what the initial uniforms of the Palmetto SharpShooters were? I read one diary excerpt where the guy said something like "I am now in a magnificant new regiment called the Palmetto SharpShooters." I was wondering if they were issued any sort of certain uniform from home. I know later them and most others in the ANV were supplied by the Richmond Depot, but not at first. Any info would be appreciated. My ancestor and his brothers were in Co. K, Palmetto SS
