Death: Jul. 8, 1862
Charleston County
South Carolina, USA

Son of James and Susan (McManus) Snipes. He enlisted Dec. 9, 1861 in CSA and died in service at Ft. Moultrie, family tradition indicates of typhoid Fever.

Inscription:
He died a soldier at Fort Moultrie, a Pvt in Co. A, Capt Huguenin's , 1st Reg., SC Regulars, buried within 150 yds of where he was born.
