Peter Snipes was in the civil war, he enlisted in Co. A, 1st Reg. and transferred to
Co. K and died of disease during war at Adams Run on July 29, 1862.
I cannot trace my ancestry to Peter, but I know several folks who can, and they asked me to see what was known about Peter's burial. This thread has been very interesting. Some of my ancestors are buried at Hollywood, VA, Pt. Lookout, MD, and Franklin, TN.
