Ransom Plyler, Private, Company I, 12th Regiment South Carolina Vols., enlisted March 24, 1864 at Lancaster, Court House by Capt. Storer for the war, admitted to the Receiving & Wayside Hospital, Richmond, Va. May 15, gunshot (Minie Ball) wound right arm*, transferred the next day to the Jackson Hospital, Richmond, transferred to C. S. A. General Hospital, Danville, Virginia May, 1864, furloughed May 23, at the 2nd N. C. Hospital, Columbia, S. C. on the July 23, 1864 , receipted for an issue of clothing, recorded on August 31, 1864 as absent, at home on wounded furlough, recommended for light duty October 18, 1864, no further records

* Probably wounded at the Spotsylvania Court House May 12
