p.s. I was speaking about the Texas regiments wearing Richmond Depot uniforms though I would be intrigued if there were any ANV regiments primarily wearing uniforms from another depot by the spring of 1862. Texans preferred slouch hats to kepis and perhaps that was the case with most other Confederate soldiers. It looks that way in POW photos. Otherwise, it is not easy to find photos of live Confederates in the field just as it is hard to find photos of dead Yankees.
