There were probably dozens of people involved in the design of the various Confederate flags.

One of them made a remark about one of those flags (Stainless Banner)- it was the "white man's flag" -and so they focus on that one quote.

The same person (Thompson) also said the First National flag was an "abolitionist flag" because it looked similar to the US flag.

What do they do with that quote?
