It's just really disgusting that they'd sink that low......Michael,The ceremony was planned right after the Cemetery Board meeting in the old adjacent church. They brought in ringers and removed me and then they and all their relatives and friends went home. I hosted the ceremony anyway.It was all a complete surprise. Even the preacher was scared and would not come out to the cemetery and say a prayer over the soldiers.

You should checkup on the place, I would......It's almost two hours away. I do need to check on it.

And is the place really being used for cattle grazing?? I suspected what they were planning and got the entire cemetery surveyed and designated a Historic Texas Cemetery a year before. They had the Collin County sheriff and county prisoners clear an acre then fenced it off. I put a stop to that before they let the cows in. Then they cancelled the Historical marker I had ordered from the State of Texas.

It couldn't possibly be that bad but if it is go to a news station about it more people should know about what's going on.....I did. TV,Newspapers,Historical groups and the State of Texas. A few were sympathetic but none wanted to get involved. You have to know that anything Confederate is considered a hot topic today. Any media,business or political support would be devastating for them.

Did you go to the SCV about this!? .........My camp,the Texas Commander and the Commander in Chief. Of course they were all sympathetic but nothing would be done. They did advise that if any government furnished military markers are removed then it is a federal crime.
