Re: Charlottesville/Lee-Jackson Day

I cannot relate to any of this. My own experience, growing up in the deep South, we never celebrated Confederate anything. It was never mentioned as a holiday at anytime. Our heritage connection to the Civil War was always a source of pride but I've never experienced any day of Confederate remembrance.

I only know complaining about it will only lefts the spirits of those who hate our history.

If those who wish to celebrate are serious, they do not need locale governments to support them.
