This is my observation of the whole Black Confederate issue. During the war the North went out of their way to prove the Confederates were arming and using African Americans against them. The Confederates in Richmond went out of their way to deny their accusations. The several States in the Confederacy had no problem with the idea. The newspapers, according to which political wing they associated with, either were against it or promoted the idea.

The evidence shows that no CONFEDERATE Black forces existed, however, there were Black Confederates, just like there were Native Americans, Hispanics and even Chinese in the Confederate Army.

Those "historians" on that blog site remind me of the Confederate authorities trying to distance themselves from any involvement of any possibility Blacks were serving in the Confederate forces. What a turn of events
