Two branches of my family lived in Stewart County, TN, near Dover. Most of the others lived in Texas or Louisiana. They all participated in the Census', even the family that moved to Texas. That does not mean they approved of Reconstruction, the Freedmen's Bureau, or carpetbaggers. None of it was funny, except I like to kid David now and then.
