Re: More missing Camp Chase letters located

I'm afraid not George. These letters are not even in the Knauss book and the Virginia Historical Society in Richmond knows nothing about them. It appears that some of these missing Camp Chase letters were gone even before the bag was located at the State House in the early 1900's. I'm assuming that the letter was written by a junior officer taken POW at Fort Donelson. The town was spelled as Bauld and then some letters I can't transcribe. But it did say along the Mobile & Ohio Railroad which should be the current town of Baldwyn. However since he should have been a junior officer I'd think he should have known how to spell the name of his hometown? Baldwyn is sort of a strange town insofar as being in several different counties at various times.
