Sam - His CMSR shows that he enlisted Oct. 4, 1861, that he was last paid June 30, 1862, and that he died at Camp Lee on _____ 5, 1862. The month could be September, but I couldn't make it out. The muster roll with all of the above information covered the period from July 1 through Oct. 31, 1862.
