Thirty Years ago Today in Vicksburg (A Note - 1885.)

At the Fair Grounds the Big Feature was the Competitive Drill between the Natchez Fencibles and the Winona Rifles. Winona won, First Sergeant Davis of the Natchez Company won the individual Drill. the Sponsor for the Winona Rifles was the charming Miss Bailey. Her Maids - of - Honor were Misses Holloway and Williamson,

Note Winona Rifles mentioned above.
I am looking for the Hill City Guards, etc., have not found it as yet.
It was in some article comparable to this I think.
