Re: Andrew F Anderson and James L. Anderson

Hi,

So glad to have found this string of emails concerning Andrew F. Anderson. Best I can tell through best research I can find on Ancestry.com and other genealogy sources, Andrew is my 2x great grandfather. I just became aware of his being buried in McGavock Confederate Cemetery here in Franklin, TN and am shocked as I just relocated from California to Franklin. I decided to retire here because I liked the area and the history. Little did I know my relation was a part of the Franklin battle and actually died on the grounds of the Carter House (most likely). I have been drawn to Carnton Planation and the cemetery but never did I think that I was a descendant of one of the fallen. That's pretty special.

I just visited Chickamauga Battle Field and found where his regiment (41st Mississippi) camped and fought. That was surreal to be standing in the area where he fought and was apparently wounded. I believe he also fought at Stones River in Murfreesboro which is also close to my home.

I'm very proud of my great, great grandfather and his service to a cause for which he fell just at the time.

Thank you for confirming that Andrew F. Anderson is resting in my "backyard" here in Franklin.
