I was told he was the grandson of Gov.Abrahm Scott who died in 1838 or '39 .I think the Governor died in the Governors mansion even though he had lost the previous election.An oil painting of Calhoun Scott was in my grandmothers house . A western theater CS belt plate was on the base of the frame .We were always told the belt plate was his and that he died of disease at age of 19.
