Hopefully you can straighten out the other researchers. Almost all of their information is wrong, with the exception of the fact that Wiley R. Russell served in the 7th Mississippi. This unit was not at Vicksburg. When Wiley died, the unit was in Tennessee. His records clearly indicate, in several places, that he died of pneumonia in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on Nov. 17, 1862 - NOT 1864. You can order copies of his records at the following site.
