Church Murray

Good Evening,
Im looking for info of a soldier on our list as well as MCGR. his name is Church Murray.
On MCGR they have

Murray, Church; b. 09-07-1824, d. 09-30-1884, Pvt. Co. ā€œEā€ 36th Al Calvary Civil War Veteran (Slay Cemetery-Greene Cty.) "CONFEDERATE STONE"

this has my attention as he is listed with a Confederate Stone. Camp members could not locate Murrays stone. We find no record of service. Is this another error? I would email the MS dept of Archives and ask, but imagine i will get the same response as the last 4, which is these records were obtained from "Historical Data Systems". whatever the hell that is, the one time i actually found them there reply was these records were obtained through many sources including MS Dept of archives. Kinda reminds me of a cat chasing his tail around in a circle.

We are still working on a list of CSA vets, We started with what we had, which was the MCGR by compatriot Dan MCaskill but continue to find Lots of errors. On our list anything in orange means the grave was not located in the cemetery listed, purple means no CSA records were found, AND WE HAVE LOTS of purple http://personalpages.tds.net/~alvinroberts/Greene%20County%20Mississippi%20Confederate%20Graves%28small%29.htm
