Re: Pvt William F Pipkins 24th MS inf Co A

JIM,

Thats some of his kin, We are trying to locate where he was killed, and where his grave is at. We are working on the Graves Registry, but also want to add the known burials, of soldiers KIA in other states to it, the best way to get someone to join the SCV, is to show them there ancestors grave. A Fellow on the SCV group the other day said i was a granny, a stone polisher, LOL!!! He thinks we have more important heritage fights to get into, i said my camp and those who know me, would laugh if they heard u call me that, they would tell ya, that if im a granny, that i'm a fire breathing one!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! I just feel its our first duty as a camp to locate and mark all confederate graves in our area, as Greene County Has not had a camp, since the UCV Roberts camp in the 1930's. Much work to do here. We have made a good dent in our list. are putting the service records to those that we can find, check out what we have so far. http://personalpages.tds.net/~alvinroberts/Greene%20County%20Mississippi%20Confederate%20Graves%28small%29.htm

Happy New year to all,

Brent Waller
