Jamie, you were right. Col. John Griffin and Capt John Fletcher led the 11th and 17th Consol'd Arkansas Infantry. Fletcher had Co. I. Griffin had Cos. F and S.
I found listed Sergeant A. C. Brister, whom I knew to be a sergeant and whom I knew to be a Lawrence Co., MS, man. His record in that regiment reflected what was on his widow's application for pension. How in the world did he end up in an Arkansas unit? Can you please expound?
