Alfred H Ramsey enlisted in the "Terrell Dragoons" May 14, 1862, Camp Moore. He died of disease Sept 14, 1862. In 1863 this company was assigned to the 4th Mississippi Cavalry, so Ramsey's name will not be found on rolls of that command. He died long before it organized.

The "Terrell Dragoons" was in camp not far from this man's home. Could be that he was sent home when he became sick and died in his own bed.
