I do not know the 2cd Mississippi extremely well but I do know the 11th very well and they were brigaded together through the whole war. I am very familiar with the bounty and furlough for reupping. The furloughs were allowed to a few men at a time in each company and generally only allowed in the Winter during times no campaigning was going on. There were men in the 11th who never got to go on their promised furlough by the time the war ended in 1865.
