All brothers from Jones County. All 1st cousins of Franklin Lafayette Riley, famous for the diary formed into a book named "Grandfather's Journal", a book about the 16th Mississippi (father of the Mississippi historian Dr. Franklin L. Riley).

After Daniel Jasper Shows died in Iuka on Oct. 10, 1862, his first cousin, Daniel Monroe Shows, Justice of the Peace in Jones County, signed his wifes claim to benefits in 1863- a copy is included in the records at MDHA.

I see many more family names on these list. I also see some of the notorious Knight family amoung the list. Thank you for posting.
