My friend asked me to post this man's name of Thomas Dabney Carr, 18th Miss.
It is my friend's understanding that this man fought in many of the big battles of the Civil War including
I believe Gettsyburg and the Wilderness. Carr according to oral history wrote home
and said whatever you do, to not let his younger brother join as he did not want any part of the war.
So the question really is, who were his parents and where did he come from? Plus where did this man
end up after the war?
My friend has inherited an old family photo of the young family of T. B. Carr and wants to learn more.
