Thomas Dabney Carr was one of my ancestors. The younger brother whom T.D. Carr did not want to come to the war was Felix Carr. The parents of T.D. Carr and Felix Carr were Thomas Alexander Carr and Elizabeth Rachel Pryor. Thomas Alexander Carr was born on Alexandria Plantation in Thomson, Georgia. Thomas Alexander Carr was also one of the first students at what was to become Emory University and was the nephew of Rev. Ignatius Few, founder of Emory, and his wife Selena Carr Few.

After the Civil War T.D. Carr returned home to Mississippi, but later moved to Arkansas and is buried in the cemetery in Madison, Arkansas.
