If you had an ancestor whose name was on the Confederate Roll of Honor Winners and he was not a deserter, then you can apply for a Roll of Honor Medal by
contacting the Sons of the Confederates in Columbia, Tn and ask for an application to fill out. They will review your application and let you know if you are eligible to get this medal. It must be kept on permanent display at a Museum, or library. This is a very nice medal and a great way to honor your ancestor.
