I completely agree with you. My Greatgrandfather Vincent H. Joiner Co. b 32nd Al. Regimental Flag bearer was wounded three time's. We sent a documented package three inch's thick to the Committee as he is in the " Roll of Honor ". He was declined for the MOH because we could not give them an eye witness. They are all dead and all the records were destroyed by the Union Force's when they surrendered May 4th 1865. He was placed in the book for his herocic actions and was done so by his peer's. I was able to get him approved for the ROH medal, but it is not the same. I would like for him to be honored with what he was to receive, but how do we go back into the past to obtain other proof ? What a shame......Bill
