The meeting with Forrest after the Battle of Selma is well described, but I didn't recall the object of discussion. A Greensboro AL newspaper published shortly after the capture of Selma listed men of Hardie's Alabama Battalion who had been released. I don't recall any mention of location.

I don't believe you will find many records of parole for those captured at Selma. I certainly haven't.
