Look for a pension in the MS Dept. of Archives and History. Many records are missing and a pension record will give a lot of info. Many of the pesnion apps have affadivits included from former soldiers attesting to service if a govt. record could not be found. Also check the grave registration cards in MDAH. The orginal cards contain more info than the the book form of Confederate grave registrations. Stubbs BN was not formed until the summer of 1864 when record keeping was pretty hap-hazard. It was a part of Wood's Brigade, was included in the surrender of Richard Taylor at Citronelle Al. Was active in an expedition to Yazoo City, Nov. 23-Dec. 4, 1864 that included a heavy skirmish, Dec. 1, at Concord Church near Yazoo City, MS.
