Pension lookup for Joseph A. Bounds...

There is a Joseph A. Bounds whose service records indicate he enlisted in Co. F, 19th MS infantry at age 25 at Oxford. In my notes, I have a Joseph A. Bounds, born around 1837, as the son of Addison Bounds and shows up in the 1850 and 1860 census reports for Jasper County. I am trying to determine if this is the soldier in the 19th. The Joseph from Jasper County married Mary Ann Donald and is said to have moved to Arkansas. I feel that the Joseph from Jasper County is not the soldier because it doesn't make sense to me why he'd go to Oxford to enlist when he could have enlisted in Jasper County. Furthermore, the name appears as Jesse on some of the cards and Joseph on others. So I'm wondering if Joseph in the 19th is really Jesse who appears in the 1860 Lafayette County census, born 1837.

There appears a William H. Bounds in the same company, age 26. So they are undoubtedly related. However, I can't find a William H. Bounds anywhere in my notes.

If anyone could help me positively identify these men, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!
