You can order birth and death certificates from the Mississippi State Department of Health. Births and deaths were not officially recorded in Mississippi until 1912.

Marriage records in Pike County can be ordered from the Circuit Clerk. Call and ask about their fee.

The circuit clerk has an online marriage license index. The index shows a marriage between Dewitt Morgan and Mary Jones in 1905, but does not show a marriage between Dewitt Morgan and Mary McEwen. However, the index does show a marriage between Mary McEwen and Martin Jones, but the date of the marriage is not given. Mary Jones and Mary McEwen may be the same person. In other words, your grandmother may have been married twice, first to Jones and then to Morgan. Or, your grandmother may not have been a McEwen. You have alot of work to do.
