The 43rd MS ("the Camel Regiment") was stationed (from the Confederate perspective) immediately to the left of the 3rd LA Redan on the Jackson Road.

By the way, most of the posts online about Old Douglas the Camel only get the story partially right.

When we complete our eventual book on the 43rd MS, the complete and correct story will finally be in one place.
