I do have the over 100 papers and was sort of fishing to find more that someone might have while Porter was in MS during the time after being ADC to Crittenden (Apr 1862?) until he was picked up as ADC by Johnson (May 1863). Those papers are so interesting and so many people so well known who have their notes and letters in his file. Noticed Pres. Davis included. Did not know about him acting as an ADC after Crittenden arrested except to serve one day at Shiloh each as an ADC to Pope and Beauregard. Thank you for your input.
