Very interesting. Quinn is a direct relative of mine. (Great, great grandfather I believe). He married a local girl in Fredericksburg and lived here after the Civil War. My dad now deceased favored him in a picture. Quinn did a lot in Fredericksburg - printer, superintendent of schools, Baptist Bible school teacher. worked with the water works and library. I have his History of Fredericksburg that he did in 1908. We had his sword but during my father's long illness it has disappeared. (We suspect one of his care givers).

The facts you mentioned I had not known. In fact I know little of his life. He served under Barksdale. Dad said that he was wounded at Gettysburg - in the foot and lost some toes! The Wilderness episode I had never heard plus others. Thanks very much for the reference.
