I have been in contact with Mrs. Drake and her husband, but I think they have issues with my take on the Battle of Raymond because it's so radically different than the original Bearss interpretation. I pointed out that I could pinpoint 17 (IIRC) things in Bearss' interpretation of the Battle of Raymond that could be directly refuted from the primary sources. That's not counting differences of interpretation, or the fact that I have crawled on my belly over every inch of ground that I could get to trying to figure out which unit was in which location. I don't think anyone will be convinced until it shows up in print. Unfortunately, I'm trying to get a software shop off the ground right now and don't have the time to pour into a book yet.
