6th or "Southwest" MO Cav. CSA

In a message posted 1 May 2005, Mr. Terry Justice mentioned an incident during Marmaduke's first raid in which the 6th MO Cavalry CSA refused to engage in combat. Has anyone else heard of this incident? This regiment was raised in the area of Missouri where I spent my boyhood, and I am trying to find out as much information as I can about it, good and bad. Thanks,

Michael
