While giving a talk about the Civil War in Laclede County yesterday evening, Bohanon's Mill caught the attention of an audience member. They wondered about the location & not for the first time I did as well.

When you look 10 miles south of Lebanon on the 1912 map you get Pease, Missouri. Which was coincidentally a mill. When I look at land patents I find Terrell Grigsby getting this land in 1848. The Grigsby family doesn't show up on a quick check of the 1860 Census (I will look more). I will try to track the deed forward, I'll let everyone know what I get. I will also take a look at neighbors on the 1860 Census. khaefner65@gmail.com
