I am replying to your latest input to "The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board" this last August regarding your earlier messages with a Russell family. As you probably noticed, I was conversing with the Odneal family of the Cooper County area regarding the murder 27 May 1865 of father Jacob Good and his son Jerimiah Good, and that a note one of the assassins left on Jacob's body informed that the double murder was in "Done in revenge for Buck Odneal. For every bushwhacker that is killed, I will kill fifty."

After concluding remarks, Mrs. Jerry Odneal, the former Mary Ann Russell, asked me to convey to you that her 6th grandparents were George Russell and Elizabeth Bean. This information may add to something you two were exchanging in the recent past. I told Mary Ann that I would pass this onto you when I next heard from you. Please respond, so I can tell Mary Ann that I accomplished her request.
