Gluing a few things together here is a possibility.

Fold3 indents your E. Kerk as being E. Kirk (transcribed as Kork but clearly Kirk on image) from Johnson Co. MO see: http://www.fold3.com/image/97608456/

Taking this piece of info the closest match is an Allen Kirk (a tinner, not a commonly listed occupation) age 19 in Warrensburg, Johnson Co., MO in 1860 census. Further he is found in Aug 1865 in Lawrence Ks census also listed as a tinner. Appears consistently as born 1841 in Missouri.

Backing up he appears in the Doyle household in 1850 census Cooper Co. MO.
