Thank you for a precise definition of this uncommon term. I'm rather surprised I came so close after coming into this one from such a distance. Good for you!
I even pulled out my old FM 22-5 "Drill and Ceremonies," but after looking at the year of publication, I'm surprised it didn't have drill of arms with flintlocks.
