I thought that the 5th MSM was originally the 12th. 2 of my ancestors were with the 12th and one of them Charles Miget was killed at Crooked Creek near Marble Hill in Bollinger Co. on Aug. 25th 1862. I am still looking for his grave. At the time they were stationed at Fort Patterson.
