Thanks very much for your responses but I guess I didn't ask the question very well. I'm well aware of the Ordinance of Secession passed in October 1861. In the Introduction to "Ride Around Missouri" Sean McLachlan speaks of an action after the Camp Jackson "Massacre" before "Peace overtures between the two sides soon fell apart" before Lyon chased the governor out of the capital.

After Camp Jackson I'm aware of a "Military Bill" being passed but not about a "resolution to secede" at that time.
