Don't know if this is the same chap.

Capt. L. H. Ballow appears on a Paroled list of Prisoners in confinement at McDowell College Military Prison Feb. 4, 1862, and received at Alton, Ill., Feb. __, 1862, not dated, Carrrol Co., Mo., no further records.

Note: Although filed in the index as L. H. Ballow, the spelling on the document looks like S. H. Ballou
