Here is the entry.
List of men sent from Gratiot Street Prison Date 08-18-1863 REEL: F1601 FRAME: 0420 FILE: 6039

I am assuming, and stop me if I am wrong, that this information is stored on microfilm reel F1601, and that to view it, I would have to travel to Jefferson City, to the Secretary of State's Office? Is there a way to have microfilm files printed and mailed for a fee?
The arrested men were from Livingston County, but I can find no further information on Logan H. Ballou, how many men rode with him, where he lived, where/how he died, his character, his rank as a bushwhacker, as in a rank title, if he was commissioned by Thompson, or, anyone else, and rank as if he was as famous locally, as was Tim Reeves, and Hildebrand in southern Missouri.
I suppose that there are other bushwhacker leaders that are lost to history, but I was surprised that Ballou is a new one to me.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Either here, or, emailed.... doniphan1966@gmail.com
