Thanks for helping me. I appreciate it. I am shooting in the dark (no pun intended), trying to find my gggrandfather William Meredith Morgan b. 1842 Glasgow, MO. I have found his father George Washington Morgan Co H., 8th MSM Cav. and his 3 brothers Addison WmR. Forbes Howard VMM, George D. Co. H 9th MSM Cav. and James Wm. R. Forbes Howard VMM. I am making an assumption that William Meredith Morgan also served but can't really find him. I have found a William Meredith Morgan in the 23rd Missouri Volunteer Infantry Co. I enlisting Oct. 15 1861 as a Pvt and discharged Dec. 29, 1864. I am just wondering if this could be him but can't find any info about age, etc. Thanks for any leads or info on William Meredith and any other info on family members units would be greatly appreciated.
