The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

Edwin Conway Clark

I found this site at the Mid-Continent Genealogy library in Independence while searching for more solid info on my GG grandfather whom I believed fought for the Union as his name has been mentioned in family history as tied to Ill. or Indiana Calvary. He was 35 and living in Lexington, MO in 1860 and is listed in the census. I am trying to find where he served and etc. He married at 47 after his parents were gone and the sisters were established. He died in 1885 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Kansas City as far as I know. I believed he is an unknown veteran of the Civil War buried in a pauper's grave there but there is research still to do. Any help in locating his records or where to look, would be helpful.
