Re: William Coats, Guerrilla of Texas County

It is very sad for me to think of all the terrible events which have occurred in Fiskville Cemetery through the years. I know nothing about slaves buried in the cemetery. I am sure their deaths were honored with proper cemetery and commitment to the Lord. I live in Connecticut and do not have an awareness of family members able to tend to the graves there. It appeared there were all kind of criminal activities taking place in this sacred ground when we were there a few years ago. It would seem you should contact the Texas Cemetery Commission and ask them to support some kind of aid or transfer of these graves to the Texas State Cemetery. These people had faith.
