Various records reflect a Howard McKnight as Sergeant (later 2 LT) in Company E, 11th LA Volunteer Infantry. McKnight was wounded at Shiloh, and 11th LA was broken up and absorbed by other units. Fold 3 reflects single cards indicating that Corporal Howard McKnight served in Todd's, and remained in unit as it was folded into 3d Louisiana Cavalry. Am trying to locate information that would determine if same Howard McKnight served in both units, or if there were two Howard McKnights involved.
