Re: Thomas Isaiah Booker: What Regiment??

The National Park Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System lists only one soldier named Thomas Booker serving in a Louisiana unit. This was Thomas's 28th Louisiana Inf. Regt which was also called the 29th.

If you can determine whether Thomas Isaiah Booker had a relative called Daniel that would make the 28th almost a certainty as both Thomas and Daniel Booker enlisted at New Orleans on 29 March 1862.

The only fly in the ointment is that most of the "Jeff Davis and the South" images seem to be from units that were at Corinth in the spring of 1862 and the 28th were in the Meridian/Vicksburg area at this time.
